There’s something beautiful about watching a Mama’s body work through the birthing process. The births of my three girls were all life-changing, incredible experiences, experiences that have lit a fire within me. When a Mama comes to me and asks me to be a member of her birth team, it’s a true honor.
Prior to your big day, we will meet to get to know one another. It can be in your home, at your favorite coffee shop, at the park – wherever you’re comfortable. I want you to be comfortable around me, knowing that the uncomfortable silence of a stranger can be hard to ignore during birth. We will discuss your expectations and the services you can expect from me, fees, prints, and if you’d like, the continuation of photos throughout the baby’s first year of life.

I am comfortable and experienced with shooting hospital and home births, so wherever you’re comfortable birthing, I’m comfortable shooting! I pride myself in being unobtrusive and candid with my photography, allowing me to remain out of not only your way, but your birth attendants’ as well. I carry only my camera bag to a birth, containing a handful of different lenses, batteries, and two camera bodies, no flashes what so ever. I will only have one camera body and lens out at a time, allowing me to stash the bag away to make sure that your laboring & birth area isn’t cluttered. Your privacy is of upmost importance to me, meaning I will never share an image from your birth without your express permission. While I do not sell or release my copyright, print releases are available (and some packages include a release). After you have chosen your photos to print, I archive the files in a special folder on my hard drive. The files are never gone for good unless you specifically request that an image be deleted (which you have every right to do).
